Animated greeting cards light up anyone's day

Featuring one of the best fine arts greeting cards collection on the internet. Romantic cards, birthday cards, love cards, funny cards and many more e-cards with music for all occasions.

German illustrator, Andreas Piel, has created quite a new and unique dimension of animated greeting cards by telling an amusing small story with every single work. Your friends and family will be surprised and delighted to receive one of these special cards from you.

Andreas Piel was born in Bonn, the former capitol of Germany. Before he really intended to become a graphic artist and illustrator, he had a few adventures in totally different kinds of professions. The first was spending half a year being a student at the NRW Police Academy. And although a few years later he graduated from the Rheinbach School of Arts, he also trained to become a helicopter pilot in the German army. But whatever he did and wherever he was, he found himself painting or drawing. So it was at the police academy and also in his military unit, where he was ordered to create wallpaintings, posters and coats of arms for the army aviation regiment.

But his actual career as an illustrator began at the University of Bonn and as a graphic artist in a cartoon studio in an upscale section of the city.

In the beginning of the nineties he moved from Bonn  to Hamburg, where he met his wife Claudia and started with the creation of children's non-fiction books.

About 40 books which he had completely illustrated and partly written himself have been published worldwide into more than 10 languages.

This is the origin of
the 2010 Valentine's Day e-card.

After Andreas had finished his first books, which where totally originated on the computer,in 2006, he remembered his earlier experience at the studio for animated cartoons and decided to learn more about this subject.

 Step-by-step At Hagenbeck's zoo

Some animations have to be done step-by-step, like the dogs steps for the Christmas e-card. And Claudia likes this kind of creation: looking for inspiring models

In March 2008 he began working with a method to create flash-animations and in end of 2008 his first animated e-card, accompanied by well blended-in music, appeared on the net.

                  Artwork

The artist is just unveiling his oil painting to his wife   Claudia. Unfortunately he seldom finds the time to use traditional painting methods.

And with these animated greeting cards you can send your individual greetings to dear people all over the world quite simply and in every language you want!

So, we hope you have a lot of fun with these beautiful e-cards.
